My Practice Quizzes
- Unlimited attempts
- Pulls 20 from a pool of 50
- Questions are worth .25 points = 5 in all. So not big points, but they are created from the same core concepts to be on the real quiz, and the exams.
- Takes the highest score, so student take them over and over, like 7-10 times.
My approach has been evolving, but now I am using the Class bot that has my syllabus, all PPTs, chapter materials, hidden knowledge and so on.
- I create the test banks from that chapters material, but incorporate distractors from other chapters, so they have to differentiate between related concepts. Also foreshadows and reiterates the courses other materials.
- Most interestingly, we use feedback that acts as a tutor. See the examples below. The feedback teaches what the about the distinctions, and only see it if they miss the question. That way they are not bogged down if that have mastered the topics.
So, I simple ask Claude to remember how we build test banks, tell about our approach. Claude provides the workflow - create questions for review, once approved output for D2L (see previous post about how). The Real Questions are discussed here. So Claude does them each in turn.
